Educação ambiental: agenda 21 nas escolas públicas estaduais do tocantins – Brasil

Resumo
A crise ambiental, econômica e social vigente, decorreu da transição de paradigmas da
relação entre o homem e a natureza, perpassando pela visão natural, racional e históricosocial.
Gerou impactos sem precedentes na história, ocasionou a busca de um novo
paradigma para solucioná-la. A Educação Ambiental pretende formar cidadãos que
garantam o desenvolvimento centrado na sustentabilidade da Terra. As políticas públicas
devem buscar atender à nova ordem. A Agenda 21 Global visa garantir a sustentabilidade
planetária, prevendo a formação da Agenda 21 Nacional e Local. No Brasil, o MMA e o MEC
lançaram o Programa Vamos Cuidar do Brasil com as Escolas que prevê a elaboração da
Agenda 21 Escolar. Objetivamos analisar e descrever o processo de construção e
implementação da Agenda 21 Escolar no Tocantins. Utilizamos: análise documental,
pesquisa qualiquantitativa e posterior triangulação dos dados. Concluímos que a Agenda 21
Escolar não é uma realidade em todas as escolas públicas tocantinenses. Percebemos que
a política pública federal de educação ambiental consegue sensivelmente mobilizar as
escolas tocantinenses para a construção de suas Agendas 21, porém não viabiliza sua
implementação. Sugerimos a implantação de programas estaduais para preencher esta
lacuna e consolidá-la e prepararmos o Tocantins para um futuro melhor.
The environmental, economic and social crisis, elapsed of the transition of paradigms of the relation between the man and the nature, permeated by the natural and history-social vision. Impacts generated unprecedented in history, caused the search of a new paradigm to solve it. The Environmental Education intends to form citizens who guarantee the development centered in the support of the Land. The public politics must search to take care of to the new order. The Global Agenda 21 aims to ensure global sustainability by providing the formation of National and Local Agenda 21. In Brazil, the MMA and the MEC launched the ‘Let’s take care of Brazil’ with the Schools that provides the drafting of Agenda 21 pertaining to school. We objectify to analyze and to describe the process of construction and implementation of 21 Agenda pertaining to schools in Tocantins. We used: documentary analysis, research and posterior triangulation of the data. We conclude that Agenda 21 pertaining to school is not a reality in all the students at public schools in Tocantins. We realized that the federal public politics of ambient education significantly obtains to mobilize the schools in Tocantins for the construction of its Agendas 21, however does not make possible its implementation. We suggest the implementation of state programs to fill this gap and to consolidate it and prepare the Tocantins to a better future.
