Metodologia de reabilitação arquitetónica : o caso do Edifício Pombalino da Praça Duque da Terceira, 20 a 27, em Lisboa

Abstract

Nesta dissertação, o tema da reabilitação arquitetónica foi estudado através da elaboração de uma estratégia de projeto para readaptação funcional do edifício pombalino da Praça Duque da Terceira, 20 a 27, em Lisboa. Este trabalho foi enquadrado pelas atuais metodologias de intervenção no património arquitetónico urbano, implicando um prévio conhecimento do local e do objeto de intervenção, sua história, valores culturais, patologias e possibilidades de reapropriação pela comunidade. Além da análise do sistema de construção pombalino e da verificação dos elementos ainda autênticos e íntegros existentes no imóvel estudado, abordaram-se exemplos recentes de reabilitação de edifícios antigos em Lisboa. O projeto desenvolvido pretende comprovar uma metodologia de trabalho aplicável à reabilitação física e funcional de edifícios antigos com valor cultural. Os problemas enumerados, as soluções apontadas e objetivos de recuperação poderão ser transversais a outros edifícios com caraterísticas semelhantes, para que no futuro se possa salvaguardar o legado histórico e cultural existente.

In this dissertation, the theme of architectural rehabilitation was studied through the development of a project strategy for the functional readaptation of the Pombaline building at Praça Duque da Terceira, 20 to 27, in Lisbon. This work was framed by the current intervention methodologies in the urban architectural heritage, implying a previous knowledge of the place and the object of intervention, its history, cultural values, pathologies and possibilities of reappropriation by the community. In addition to the analysis of the Pombaline construction system and the verification of the still authentic and intact elements existing in the studied property, recent examples of rehabilitation of old buildings in Lisbon were addressed. The developed project aims to prove a work methodology applicable to the physical and functional rehabilitation of old buildings with cultural value. The problems listed, the solutions indicated and recovery objectives may be transversal to other buildings with similar characteristics, so that in the future the existing historical and cultural legacy can be safeguarded, whenever there is an intervention in the building.
