O protocolo incluiu a administração do
Emerging adults represent a significantly large share of the economic burden and general health due to the harmful use of psychoactive substances and the disturbances that result from their consumption. The literature has pointed to the effectiveness of strategies for prevention or reduction, in whole or in part, of substance use among emerging adults and for the prevention of possible consequences resulting from this practice, showing the school context as an environment conducive to the psychosocial development of individuals. One of the most complete and robust prevention programs of this nature, applied in national academic contexts, is called the Risks & Challenges Program. Thus, the present study aimed at the procedural evaluation of the first implementation of the Risks & Challenges Program at the Faculty of Psychology, Physical Education and Sport of the Universidade Lusófona do Porto. The sample consisted of 28 individuals, students of the 3rd year of Psychology, corresponding to 66.6% of the 42 participants in this first implementation. The protocol included the administration of the Post-Program Questionnaire and Program Evaluation, one year after the implementation of the intervention. The results show that most students considered the Risks & Challenges Program to be Good, on a Likert scale. This study allowed to verify that the emerging adults benefited from the participation in the Risks & Challenges Program as they consider to have acquired important learnings from it, reinforcing that this implementation format in this particular context is viable, similar to previous results of the applied Program in other higher education institutions and in different years.
