O uso de estratégias de natureza competitiva e as atitudes dos alunos do ensino secundário em relação à inclusão dos seus pares com deficiência nas aulas de Educação Física

Abstract

Quando se fala em inclusão escolar é crucial estudar a forma como os alunos a vêm e como agem perante os seus pares com deficiência, ou seja as interações que os alunos estabelecem entre si. É importante termos em conta que as atitudes resultantes das interações dos alunos não nascem com eles, consequentemente é fundamental uma influência positiva e consciente por parte dos principais agentes escolares, pais e professores. Objetivo: O principal objetivo do estudo é analisar a relação entre as Estratégias de Natureza Competitiva e as 5 dimensões das atitudes (Crenças Comportamentais Favoráveis, Crenças Comportamentais Desfavoráveis, Crenças Normativas, Crenças de Controlo Interno e Crenças de Controlo Externo) dos alunos referente à inclusão dos seus pares com deficiência nas aulas de EF. Método: Participaram neste estudo 294 alunos que frequentam o ensino secundário (10º, 11º e 12º anos de escolaridade), com idades compreendidas entre os 15 e os 21 anos, sendo que 165 são do sexo feminino e 129 do masculino. A recolha de dados foi realizada através de um questionário, o AID-EF (Leitão, 2014) “ A atitude dos alunos face a inclusão dos seus pares com deficiência” e de uma escala de competição/cooperação, o ESCOOP (Leitão, 2014). A ESCOOP é constituída por vinte e um itens, sendo que a dimensão relativa as estratégias de natureza competitiva é suportada pelos seguintes itens: 1, 2, 8, 10, 17 e 19. Resultado: Através do SPSS foi possível desenvolver o tratamento estatístico, recorrendo ao teste – Correlação de Pearson. Pretendemos analisar a associação entre as Estratégias de Natureza Competitiva e as Crenças Comportamentais, Normativas e de Controlo. Verificamos que apesar de muito fraca existe uma correlação positiva entre as Estratégias de Natureza Competitiva e as Crenças, com exceção da associação entre a dimensão Estratégias de Natureza Competitiva e as Crenças de Controlo Interno onde a correlação positiva não se verifica. Assim podemos verificar que os alunos mais competitivos são precisamente aqueles que têm uma atitude menos positiva em relação á sua própria capacidade de ajudar á inclusão dos seus pares com deficiência.

When it comes to school inclusion is crucial to study how students see it and how they act toward their peers with disabilities, i.e. the interactions that students establish among themselves. It is important that we keep in mind that the attitudes resulting from the interactions of the student’s aren’t born with themselves, therefore it is important to have a positive and conscious influence from the main school agents, parents and teachers. Objective: The main objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between the strategies of Competitive Nature and the 5 dimensions of attitudes (Behavioral Beliefs Favorable, Behavioral Beliefs Unfavorable, Normative Beliefs, Beliefs of Internal Control and Beliefs of External Control) of the students concerning the inclusion of their peers with disabilities in Physical Education classes. Method: This study is based on 294 students who attended secondary school (10th, 11th and 12th years of schooling), aged between 15 and 21 years, where 165 were female and 129 were male. The data collection was carried out through a questionnaire, the AID-EF (Leitão, 2014) "The attitude of the students toward the inclusion of their peers with disabilities" and a scale of competition/cooperation, the ESCOOP (Leitão, 2014). The ESCOOP is composed of twenty-one items, being that the relative size of the competitive nature strategies is supported by the following items: 1, 2, 8, 10, 17 and 19. Result: Using SPSS it was possible to develop the statistical treatment, using the Pearson's Correlation test. We want to analyze the association between the strategies of Competitive Nature and the Behavioral Beliefs, Normative and Control. We verify that, although it’s very weak, there’s a positive correlation between the Strategies of Competitive Nature and the Beliefs, with the exception of the association between the Strategies of Competitive Nature dimension and the Beliefs of Internal Control where the positive correlation is not verified. So we can verify that the most competitive pupils are necessarily the ones that have a less positive attitude concerning their own capacity to help the inclusion of their peers with deficiency.
