The purpose of this presentation is to study the diplomacy of the Holy See on human rights, from John Paul II to our days. With the present work, we intend to make known the contribution of this diplomacy in the fight for human rights, with a focus on the last three pontificates, showing the interventions that have had the most impact at the level of international relations, as well as to deepen the means that it uses when it intervenes in conflicts between states. All the intervention of the diplomacy of the Holy See privileges the dignity of the human person, which is the foundation of human rights. Thus, whether John Paul II, Encyclical "Laborem Exercens", as Benedict XIV in his speech in Angola and now Pope Francis in the refugee drama, are always placing the concern for respect for life, that every day these rules are violated, due to the globalization of indifference as Pope Francis has said. The diplomacy of the Holy see is directed towards the promotion of peace and the wellbeing of the human being.
