dc.description.abstractA família e a escola são consideradas contextos fundamentais no desenvolvimento do educando com papéis complementares no processo educativo. Neste sentido, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo principal abordar a importância da família na educação de crianças com necessidades educativas especiais (NEE) e a respetiva intervenção educativa. Inicialmente foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica no sentido de obter uma fundamentação esclarecedora sobre o tema em questão para, posteriormente, se proceder à elaboração do trabalho. No enquadramento teórico, começámos por fazer referência à evolução da Educação Especial (EE), das NEE e da escola. De seguida, abordámos o grande tema da família, centrando-nos nas diversas perspetivas, nos seus papéis e na importância do seu envolvimento face à criança com NEE. Na componente prática, definiram-se os objetivos do estudo e as questões de investigação. Quanto à metodologia, foram elaborados e aplicados dois inquéritos por questionários a pais/encarregados de educação, cujas crianças com NEE estão inseridas no ensino regular, e aos respetivos professores desses alunos. O objetivo foi analisar qual a importância que a família tem na intervenção educativa de crianças com NEE, tendo em consideração as opiniões das famílias e dos professores.pt
dc.description.abstractBoth family and school are considered fundamental elements in the pupils’ development, each with complementary roles in the educational process. The current study has, therefore, as its main objective to approach the importance of the family in educating children with special educational needs and the appropriate educational intervention. Initially, we conducted a literature search to obtain relevant material on our topic, in order to work out this study. As far as the theoretical framework is concerned, we made reference to the evolution of Special Education, Special Educational Needs and schools. Afterwards, we approached the theme of the family, with a focus on the various perspectives, on their roles and the importance of their commitment towards children with special educational needs. In the practical component, we defined the objectives of the study and the research questions. Regarding the methodology, we developed and implemented two types of survey questions which were directed to parents or guardians, whose children with special educational needs are included in regular classes, and to their teachers. Our aim was to understand the role of the family in the educational process of children with special educational needs, taking into account the views of families and teachers.en
