Violência doméstica contra mulheres imigrantes durante a pandemia covid-19 : frequência, severidade e impacto

A violência doméstica é definida pela perpetração, da pessoa com quem tenha ou teve
uma relação ou que coabite com a vítima. Existem fatores de risco que contribuem para
que haja maior vulnerabilidade para a vitimação, nomeadamente, o estatuto de imigrante.
Estes podem ser exacerbados em situações de crise, como a Pandemia Covid-19. Este
estudo tem como objetivo estimar a prevalência da violência doméstica em mulheres
imigrantes durante a pandemia covid-19, analisar o seu o impacto ao nível da saúde
mental e testar o efeito mediador da resiliência. Os instrumentos utilizados foram o
questionário de experiências adversas durante a pandemia covid-19, o Brief Symptom
Inventory e a Escala de Resiliência para Adultos. A amostra do estudo é constituída por
184 mulheres imigrantes, residentes em Portugal. A recolha de dados foi realizada em
entidades nacionais que proporcionam apoio aos imigrantes em Portugal. Os resultados
mostram que houve uma elevada taxa de vitimação por violência doméstica contra
mulheres imigrantes prevalecendo a violência psicológica (44.6%). Mostraram ainda um
padrão de agravamento e/ou continuidade da mesma, sendo que as vítimas que reportaram
ter experienciado VD antes e durante a pandemia, referiram que a severidade da mesma
se manteve e/ou aumentou sobretudo. Averiguou-se ainda que mulheres que
experienciaram violência doméstica durante a pandemia apresentaram significativamente
um maior índice geral de sintomas e menor resiliência, porém a resiliência foi considerada
um mediador total da relação entre a experiência de VD e resultados negativos ao nível
da saúde mental. Estudos futuros serão contemplados.

We can define domestic violence as a perpetration by the person with whom the Victim as or has had a relationship or by someone who cohabits with the victim. There are several risk factors that contribute to a greater vulnerability to victimization, namely among immigrant people. These can be exacerbated in crisis situations such as the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to quantify the prevalence of domestic violence between immigrant women during the Covid-19 pandemic. Will analyze the impact on mental health and test the mediating Effect of resilience. The study sample consisted of 184 immigrant women living in Portugal. The data was collected from national organizations that at the moment provide support to this class. Results show that there was a high rate of victimization regarding domestic violence against immigrant women, with a prevalence of psychological violence. The study also demonstrated an aggravation pattern or a continuity among these victims who reported experienced DV before and during this time, reporting the increase of the severity of this kind of violence.
