Resumo
A presente dissertação aborda a evolução e mutação do Pátio enquanto Arquétipo, tendo em conta a sua relação com o lugar, em particular com a cidade contemporânea. A pluralidade de formas e de escalas permitem ao Pátio dar resposta aos mais variados programas arquitectónicos, gerando uma inúmera variedade de soluções espaciais e estabelecendo relações entre dicotomias, como interior/ exterior, individualismo/ altruísmo, introspecção/ extrospecção.
O Pátio assume-se como um sistema básico de composição, um tipo arquitectónico com capacidades reconhecidas desde o período neolítico, em que emerge como um espaço aberto dentro da forma associado ao programa habitacional, conferindo-lhe segurança e salubridade. Ao longo da história foi reinterpretado na resolução dos mais variados programas, tendo a sua morfologia transposto os limites do edifício, passando a estabelecer relações com a envolvente.
No projecto prático do Lar Residencial pretende-se explorar as relações que o pátio pode estimular com a cidade, sem no entanto perder as suas características primordiais. O Lar Residencial no Largo Actor Dias não representa apenas um edifício, é uma peça de regeneração urbana, que procura recuperar a memória colectiva do lugar.
The current essay focus on the evolution of the courtyard as an Archetype, considering its relation with the site, especially in the contemporary city. It fits in the most varied architecture projects due to its wide range of shapes and dimensions, generating countless space solutions and establishing relations between dichotomies such as inside/outside, individualism/altruism and introspection/ extrospection. The courtyard is a basic element of a composition with recognized usefulness since the Neolithic period when it emerged as an open space in domestic projects adding security and salubrity to them. Over the time it has been used in the resolution of a great variety of programmes. Its morphology has overcome the limits of the building establishing a relation with the surroundings. In the Lar Residencial project it is aimed to explore the relation between the courtyard and the city without losing its primordial characteristics. The Lar Residencial located in the Largo Actor Dias is an urban regeneration building that seeks to re-establish the collective memory of the site.
