Violência nas relações de intimidade contra a mulher : impactos na vida profissional

Abstract

A presente revisão sistemática da literatura procurou responder à questão de investigação “Quais são os impactos da violência por parceiro íntimo (VPI) na produtividade laboral de mulheres empregadas vítimas de VPI, considerando medições objetivas e subjetivas, com base em estudos quantitativos, qualitativos e de métodos mistos?”, seguindo as diretrizes do Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA). A pesquisa bibliográfica realizou-se na Web of Science, Psychinfo, Scopus e PubMed, em 10 de março de 2024, sendo pesquisados artigos entre 2009 e 2024. Cinco estudos cumpriram os critérios do estudo. Verificou-se que a VPI se associa a sintomas cognitivos e emocionais, como dificuldades de concentração e irritabilidade no trabalho, e afeta negativamente a produtividade das mulheres podendo levar ao absentismo e turnover. Destacam-se lacunas importantes, como a falta de estudos em regiões diversas, sobre o impacto do COVID-19 e do aumento do teletrabalho e sobre potenciais benefícios do trabalho para as vítimas de VPI e sobre a eficácia das intervenções. Sublinha-se a importância de uma abordagem integrada que considere tanto as dimensões pessoais quanto organizacionais da VPI, e propõe a implementação de estratégias abrangentes para apoiar efetivamente as vítimas e melhorar as suas condições de trabalho.

This systematic literature review sought to answer the research question “What are the impacts of intimate partner violence (IPV) on the labor productivity of employed women who are victims of IPV, considering objective and subjective measurements, based on quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods studies?”, following the guidelines of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA). The bibliographic search was carried out on Web of Science, Psychinfo, Scopus and PubMed, on March 10, 2024, and articles were searched between 2009 and 2024. Five studies met the study criteria. It was found that IPV is associated with cognitive and emotional symptoms, such as concentration difficulties and irritability at work, and negatively affects women's productivity, which can lead to absenteeism and turnover. Important gaps are highlighted, such as the lack of studies in different regions, on the impact of COVID-19 and the increase in teleworking, and on the potential benefits of work for victims of IPV and the effectiveness of interventions. It underlines the importance of an integrated approach that considers both the personal and organizational dimensions of IPV and proposes the implementation of comprehensive strategies to effectively support victims and improve their working conditions.
