Avanço da tuberosidade tibial : relato de 3 casos

Abstract

O joelho é uma das principais articulações do membro pélvico, e uma das mais afetadas por lesões. O joelho é constituído por fémur, tíbia, patela, fíbula e ossos sesamoides, e por quatro ligamentos, o ligamento cruzado cranial, ligamento cruzado caudal, ligamento colateral medial e ligamento colateral lateral, por fim, o menisco, é também, uma parte muito importante e sensível da articulação do joelho. Uma das principais afeções do joelho, está relacionada com os ligamentos em especial, o ligamento cruzado cranial. Estas lesões podem ter origem em traumas, avulsão ou degeneração progressiva do ligamento. Nesta dissertação foram explorados sinais clínicos, causas, e meios de diagnóstico que podem ser empregues para a identificação de uma rotura do ligamento cruzado cranial, assim como as técnicas cirúrgicas a que se pode recorrer para o tratamento desta afeção, mais especificamente a abordagem a 3 casos clínicos que foram tratados com a recurso á técnica de avanço da tuberosidade tibial uma das técnicas mais usadas na resolução deste tipo de lesão e sobre a qual esta dissertação se debruça mais profundamente.

The knee is one of the main joints of the hind limb, and among the most affected by injuries. The knee consists of the femur, tibia, patella, fibula, and sesamoid bones, four ligaments, the cranial cruciate ligament, caudal cruciate ligament, medial collateral ligament, and lateral collateral ligament, and finally, the meniscus, another very important and sensitive part of the knee joint. The most frequent knee injuries are related to the ligaments, especially the cranial cruciate ligament. These injuries can be originated from trauma, avulsion, or progressive degeneration of the ligament. In this dissertation, clinical signs, causes, and diagnostic methods that can be used to identify a rupture of the cranial cruciate ligament were explored, as well as the surgical techniques that can be used for the treatment of this condition, more specifically the approach to three clinical cases that were treated using the tibial tuberosity advance technique, one of the most commonly used techniques in resolving this type of injury and into which this dissertation delves more deeply.
