O fio condutor desta investigação é analisar as concepções dos pais, alunos e professores acerca da gestão democrática na construção da cidadania no espaço escolar. As categorias eleitas foram gestão democrática e cultura da escola. A inserção de Cultura da escola se volta para uma compreensão maior do cotidiano da escola e suas inferências sobre a escola como um todo. Os sujeitos foram: 3 da equipe gestora, 7 docentes, 270 alunos, 104 pais e um representante do Conselho Escolar. A metodologia foi qualitativa e os instrumentos de coleta foram a entrevista semi estruturada, questionário e análise documental. A pesquisa teve o aporte qualitativo e quantitativo e a análise dos dados se deu pelo SPSS para os dados quantitativos e a Análise de Discurso (AD) para os dados qualitativos. Os resultados apontam para um olhar dos alunos, pais e professores acerca da gestão e construção de cidadania que se volta para uma constatação que o Conselho Escolar e o PPP são instrumentos da escola que não têm uma participação relevante no meio da comunidade escolar. Em se tratando do Conselho ele representa a instância máxima que assegura a gestão democrática e a participação de toda a comunidade.
The guiding thread of this research is to analyze the conceptions of parents, students and teachers about democratic management towards the building of citizenship into the school space. The categories elected in this paper were democratic management and school culture. The insertion of the culture of the school turns to a higher understanding of the school daily life and to its inferences in the school as a whole. The individuals chosenwere: 3 of the management team, 7 teachers, 270 students, 104 parents and a representative of the School Council. The methodology was qualitative and the instruments of collection weresemi-structured interviews, questionnaire, and documentary analysis. The research has been accomplished thanks toa qualitative and quantitative contribution, and the data analysis was given by the SPSS for the quantitative data, and by the Discourse Analysis (DA) for the qualitative data. The results highlight thevision of students, parents and teachers about the management and building of a citizenship turned to the finding that the School Council and the PPP are educational instruments that do not have a relevant participation in the middle of the school community. In the case of the Council, it represents the highest level that ensures the democratic management and participation of the whole community.
