Aging, the aspects it involves, as well as the new challenges and opportunities facing a society increasingly made up of older people, make this theme always current, requiring a multidimensional analysis. From the widespread increase in the number of institutionalized elderly people emerges the need to better understand and understand the management process, namely people management practices and quality of life. When the elderly a re confronted with their institutionalization, they face the transition from an independent way of life within the community to a way of life in an institution with its own norms and rules. Thus came the question that gave the starting point of the investigation: “How does the Organization Management promote the quality of life of institutionalized elderly?” Now, in order to answer the above question, the theoretical research on the state of the art related to the starting question was carried out and an empirical study that took place in the Residential Structure for the elderly called “Perfect Loves”. In the referred study, using a qualitative methodology, three interview guides were elaborated applied to four elderly, three collaborators, as well as to the Technical Director. An analysis of the results was performed. It was found that, in the organization under analysis, employees are the primary capital and the quality of life is guaranteed by the Organization through management and a “very familiar environment” based on the humanization of the organization, ie the needs of the elderly. institutionalized and employee interests are considered in the development of the organization as well as in its strategic plan.
