Perpetradores de violência na intimidade : atitudes e traços de psicopatia em jovens adultos

Na atualidade a violência nas relações de intimidade em jovens é uma das temáticas
abordadas diariamente, embora exista uma vasta literatura sobre o estudo da relação entre
perpetração e a psicopatia, o estudo da relação entre as atitudes e a prática de agressões e o papel
da psicopatia em jovens adultos agressores em Portugal ainda se mostra parco. O presente estudo
teve como objetivo explorar a influência de variáveis sociodemográficas (e.g., idade e
escolaridade), nas atitudes, face à perpetração de violência e o estudo da relação entre as pontuações
na escala de psicopatia, as atitudes e a prática de agressão e violência em relações de intimidade.
A amostra do estudo é constituída por 404 participantes que responderam a um questionário online
na plataforma Qualtrics. Verificaram-se correlações entre as variáveis em estudo, demonstrando
uma associação entre as facetas da psicopatia, em especial a faceta interpessoal e a violência
psicológica. Os resultados demonstram que os jovens do sexo masculino apresentam mais atitudes
legitimadoras da violência bem como foi possível verificar a influência que o nível de escolaridade
tem na presença destas atitudes. É esperado que estes dados contribuam para um conhecimento
mais aprofundado das atitudes e traços de psicopatia numa amostra mais jovem em Portugal bem
como informar programas de prevenção e intervenção junto desta faixa etária.
