O patrimônio museológico universitário : a formação das coleções da Universidade Federal de Lavras - UFLA

A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo analisar um estudo sobre a formação de coleções no âmbito universitário e o modo como foram disponibilizadas ao público bem como discutir sobre ele. Assim, a escolha do tema partiu do anseio de compreender a estrutura dessas coleções universitárias, abrangendo suas características, os colecionadores, as motivações e condições de sua seleção e coleta, ou seja, sua trajetória até o museu universitário. Inserido na ambiência universitária, daquela tipologia e no recorte temporal, optamos por investigar o patrimônio museológico da Universidade Federal de Lavras (UFLA), por meio dos estudos de caso: Museu Bi Moreira (MBM-UFLA) e do Museu de História Natural (MHN-UFLA). Vale ressaltar que a escolha desses estudos buscou potencializar as pesquisas das distintas naturezas de coleções universitárias e os modos como são disponibilizadas para a sociedade. Já no que concerne à delimitação do tema, a preferência pelo patrimônio museológico universitário foi ainda motivada pelas seguintes razões: primeiramente por sua natureza - são coleções universitárias, de âmbito local e regional; e, em segundo, pela sua disponibilização em espaços museais da esfera pública e universitária. Este último fator, no MBM-UFLA determinou uma transferência de usufruto da coleção, do particular para o público, e a implantação de um novo modelo de gestão de tutela universitária. Desse modo, o estudo dos casos elegidos permite constatar que estamos perante um cenário panorâmico, no qual se distinguem duas variáveis de formação de coleções e musealização nesta Universidade. Enquanto no MHN-UFLA a coleção foi construída com o tempo e as atividades da própria Universidade, as coleções do MBM-UFLA formaram-se em uma dimensão privada, mas assumiram no decorrer de sua trajetória uma dimensão pública por meio da musealização.
This research aims to present a study about collections formation, arrangement, and exhibition to the public in universities spaces. The chosen theme came from the desire to understand university collections structure, encompassing both collection and the collector, such as their motivations and their conditions on selecting and receiving, as well vicissitudes that it went through until being placed in the university museum. Inserted in the university space, of the aforementioned typology and in this time frame, as an option was decided to investigate the museological heritage of the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), through the case studies: Museu Bi Moreira (MBM-UFLA) and the Museu de História Natural (MHN -UFLA). These case studies selection sought to enhance the research of different typology collections on university and how have been displayed to society. Regarding the theme delimitation, the preference for university museum heritage was also motivated by the following reasons: first by their nature - they are university collections, of local and regional scope; and, second, its exhibition in the public sphere and university museum space. This last factor, at MBM-UFLA, determined a transference of collection usufruct of the private to the public, and implementation of a new management model for university tutelage. The Case study elected allows realizing that stands a panoramic scenario, in which two variables distinguished in the collections formation and musealization in this University. While at the MHN-UFLA the collection was built over time and the vicissitudes of the University itself, on the other hand, the MBM-UFLA collections were formed from a particular disposition but have taken on a public dimension through musealization.
