This work aims to analyze the perspectives of secondary school teachers regarding the inclusion of students with Intellectual and Developmental Difficulties in their classes. Attitude, although not the only factor that facilitates the inclusion of these students, is critical and can make a difference in whether they feel included or not. Society's attitude towards people with disabilities has evolved satisfactorily over time, particularly towards people with Intellectual and Developmental Difficulties. However, at an educational level, there are still barriers, some of which relate to the attitudes of teachers and management bodies, as Leitão and Silva (2019) showed. Intellectual and Developmental Difficulties are manifested by cognitive functioning that is below average, along with difficulties in adaptive areas, with a deadline for onset of up to 22 years of age (Schalock et al., 2021). Depending on the difficulties that these students may present, their inclusion, particularly in secondary education, may raise some complexity for some teachers regarding the way they see inclusion and how it is put into practice. For this qualitative investigation, we used semi-structured interviews (Lüdke & André, 2013) with secondary school teachers and documentary research, as data collection techniques and instruments. These were treated through content analysis (Bardin, 2010). The study made it possible to verify that: the attitudes of those involved are, in general, favorable to inclusion; the teachers interviewed are unanimous in relation to the importance of students with Intellectual and Developmental Difficulties being included in Regular Education; some of the participants experience difficulties regarding coordination between those involved in these students' educational process; Regular education schools do not guarantee favorable answers to all teachers' queries to improve their practices, highlighting a discourse that highlights the need for teacher training in this area, both at the level of initial training and continuing training.en
