dc.description.abstractA Literatura de cordel é um instrumento pedagógico essencial para alcançar resultados significativos no processo de ensino-aprendizagem, em seu contexto literário, enaltece a cultura popular, refletindo sobre inúmeros acontecimentos da realidade social, todavia, percebe-se que professores e estudantes constroem diversas significações acerca desse tipo de literatura no cotidiano escolar. Nesse sentido, este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a construção das representações dos professores e estudantes do Ensino Médio sobre a Literatura de cordel. Para realizar esta investigação a metodologia foi mista, qualitativa e quantitativa, através de questionários e entrevistas; os sujeitos foram professores e estudantes de duas escolas da Rede Pública do estado de Pernambuco, no município de Tacaratu. O suporte teórico elencou as categorias: Cultura escolar/Prática pedagógica; Cultura popular/ Literatura de cordel; e Representações Sociais. A análise dos dados qualitativos voltou-se para a Análise de Discurso (AD). Os dados quantitativos foram analisados no SPSS (Statiscal Packt for the Social Science). Na análise documental foi feito um mapeamento dos Projetos Políticos-Pedagógicos (PPP) das escolas e demais documentos que norteiam às práticas educativas das escolas, e verificamos a carência de vivências culturais no cotidiano escolar, como subsídio de contribuição. Os resultados apontam para a falta de conhecimento dos discentes sobre a literatura de cordel, o desinteresse pela cultura popular e preconceito linguístico por esta literatura apresentar as marcas da fala dos nordestinos. Em relação aos professores, constatamos um reconhecimento sobre as contribuições que o cordel exerce em sua ação pedagógica, todavia, o ensino da literatura de cordel das duas escolas necessita de inovações para despertar o interesse dos estudantes pela leitura, pela produção de cordéis, sobretudo, desmistificar as significações que os discentes constroem acerca da própria identidade cultural representada por essa literatura. O estudo sugere que as escolas devem acrescentar em seus PPP com mais clareza, propostas que fortaleçam esse compromisso com os contextos culturais – local e global em seu cotidiano, para em junção à comunidade escolar através de diálogos, reflexões e ações, projetem aprendizagem significativas em seus estudantes, honrando a diversidade cultural e procurando romper com os preconceitos e estereótipos infundados.pt
dc.description.abstractThe Cordel Literature is an essential educational tool to achieve significant results in the teaching-learning process. In such a context, it can validate the popular culture, reflecting on numerous events of social reality. However, according to this survey, teachers and students are able to build several meanings about this kind of literature in everyday school life. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the construction of representations of teachers and high school students about the Cordel Literature. There was a mixed, both qualitative and quantitative methodology to carry out this research that employed questionnaires and interviews. The interviewed were teachers and students of two public schools in the state of Pernambuco, specifically in the city of Tacaratu. The theoretical support encompassed the following categories: School culture/ Pedagogical practice; Popular culture/ Cordel Literature; and Social Representations. The analysis of qualitative data is linked to the Discourse Analysis tool (DA). Quantitative data, for their turn, have been analyzed according to the SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). Finally, documental analysis produced a mapping of Political and Pedagogical Projects (PPPs) of the schools besides further documents that guide the educational practices in schools. As another consequence of this study, it has been noticed a lack of cultural experiences in everyday school life. The results also highlight the lack of knowledge of students concerning the Cordel Literature, their lack of interest about popular culture and a linguistic discrimination, once this literature presents the discursive marks of the Northeast people of Brazil. Concerning the teachers, it was found an acknowledgment of the contributions of Cordel Literature for their pedagogical actions. However, the teaching of Cordel Literature in both schools need innovations to arouse students’ interest in reading and production of cordel texts and above all demystifying the meanings they create about the own cultural identity represented by this kind of literature. The study suggests that schools should more clearly add in their PPPs some proposals to strengthen their commitment to cultural contexts – both local and global for their daily lives. In collaboration to the school community through dialogues, reflections and actions it could be possible to design meaningful learning for students, thus honoring their cultural diversity and seeking to break with prejudices and unfounded stereotypes.en
