Percursos escolares : o envolvimento parental na reintegração no sistema educativo dos jovens, no âmbito da formação profissional

Resumo
Com as transformações no sistema de ensino, nomeadamente com a massificação do ensino é cada vez mais exigida uma participação da comunidade na escolarização dos jovens e essencialmente o envolvimento da família na mesma, tendo em conta os novos desafios que se colocam à educação.
Crê-se contudo que o papel de cuidador e educador das famílias é imprescindível no desenvolvimento e crescimento de qualquer individuo, nomeadamente o seu envolvimento no sistema educativo, com vista à promoção de um projeto de vida com sucesso.
No presente estudo procurámos analisar qual o envolvimento das famílias na reintegração escolar do sistema educativo de jovens, que já vivenciaram percursos de abandono escolar e reintegraram o sistema de ensino no âmbito da formação profissional.
Enveredou-se por um estudo qualitativo, que visou captar as preocupações das famílias e jovens sobre o seu percurso escolar/formativo e para tal foram entrevistados dez jovens e respetivas famílias.
Considera-se fulcral a colaboração das famílias de forma a promover o sucesso escolar, considerando ainda que a qualificação escolar pode despoletar grandes alterações na vida dos jovens e da própria família.
With all the transformations in the education system, namely with the amplification of education, the participation of the community in the schooling of the young and the involvement of the family in the same, are now, more than ever, a requirement, given the new challenges presented to the education system. It is believed, however, that the families’ role of care-taker and educator is a key part in the development and growth of any individual, in what concerns his involvement with the education system, aiming for a successful life project. In the present study, we sought to analyze the involvement of families in the scholar reintegration in the education system of young people, who have already been trough processes of school dropout and have already reintegrated the education system, in terms of professional formation. The method chosen, was a qualitative study, which sought to capture the families’ and young peoples’ concerns about their educational/formative background and to do so, 10 young people and their respective families were interviewed. The collaboration of families is considered crucial to promote scholar success, given that educational qualification may unravel great changes in the lives of those young people and their families’ themselves.
