Resumo
Neste trabalho de dissertação procurou-se um conhecimento teórico para entender a
evolução histórica relacionada com prática de reabilitação, restauro e conservação do
patrimônio histórico e sua envolvente.
A tese está focada em teóricos cujo a importância de seus nomes está diretamente
interligada à importância que este assunto obteve com o passar dos anos. A Europa, com sua
riqueza grandiosa e monumental, teve necessidade de estabelecer critérios para conseguirem
manter sua história vívida por meio da arquitetura pré-existente.
Terá ênfase em nomes como Viollet Le Duc, Jhon Ruskin e Camillo Boito, e
evidentemente outras personalidades ligadas a este campo da recuperação, os quais serão
estudados por terem fortes características teóricas dentro de seus pensamentos pregados e
atuados entre os séculos XIX e XX. Mais adiante Aldo Rossi, influenciado pelos nomes citados
acima, mas com valores próprios. Em Portugal, os pensadores contemporâneos nesta área do
restauro, dedicaram-se a salvaguardar a riqueza arquitetônica que hoje conseguimos encontrar
no país.
A importância desta temática nos dias de hoje, com referência as práticas acima citadas
em edifícios monumentais, assim como, a reabilitação de edificações não monumentais,
relacionadas ao traçado urbano presente na cidade, está diretamente ligada à exploração do
crescente mercado imobiliário na região do Porto, trazendo à tona a necessidade do projeto
final, relacionado a Casa Jazz e ao Largo Actor Dias.
In this dissertation work, theoretical knowledge was sought to understand the historical evolution related to the practice of rehabilitation, restoration and conservation of historical heritage and its surroundings. The thesis is focused on theorists who’s the importance of their names is directly linked to the importance that this subject has obtained over the years. Europe, with its grandiose and monumental wealth, needed to establish criteria to be able to keep its history vivid through pre existing architecture. He will have an emphasis on names like Viollet Le Duc, Jhon Ruskin and Camillo Boito, and evidently other personalities linked to this field of recovery, who will be studied because they have strong theoretical characteristics within their thoughts preached and acted between the 19th and 20th centuries. Later on, Aldo Rossi, influenced by the names mentioned above, but with his own values. In Portugal, contemporary thinkers in this area of restoration have dedicated themselves to safeguarding the architectural wealth that we can now find in the country. The importance of this theme today, with reference to the practices mentioned above in monumental buildings, as well as the rehabilitation of non-monumental buildings, related to the urban layout present in the city, is directly linked to the exploration of the growing real estate market in the Porto region, bringing to light the need for the final project, related to Casa Jazz and Largo Actor Dias.
