Resumo
Esta dissertação pretende estabelecer um paralelismo original entre as ‘Fases do Ciclo da Água’ e ‘Orixás da Umbanda’, uma religião sincrética de raiz Africana centrada na sacralização das ‘Forças da Natureza’.
O primeiro capítulo trata da troca contínua de água na hidrosfera, que se perpetua nas três ‘Fases/Processos de Transferência Principais do Ciclo Hidrológico’: ‘Evaporação, Precipitação e Escoamento’.
O segundo capítulo apresenta uma pesquisa aprofundada sobre as ‘Origens, Fundamentos e Prática Religiosa da Umbanda’, nomeadamente a influência da ‘Diáspora Luso-Afro-Brasileira’, na sua implementação e vinda para Portugal, e no ‘Sincretismo’ entre ‘Orixás’ e «Santos Católicos».
No terceiro capítulo referem-se algumas particularidades importantes das ‘Religiões Tradicionais Africanas’ presentes na Umbanda, como sejam o carácter animista e um Panteão presidido por ‘Um Único Deus Criador’, assessorado por um conjunto extenso de ‘Orixás’ que representam as ‘Forças da Natureza’, procedendo-se depois à apresentação da distribuição inovadora proposta dos ‘Orixás da Água’, por cada uma das três ‘Fases do Ciclo Hidrológico’.
Na conclusão comenta-se, sucintamente, a distribuição realizada dos ‘Orixás’ pelas três ‘Fases do Ciclo da Água’, tecem-se algumas considerações acerca do ‘Afrocentrismo’ e da ‘Teologia Afro-negra’ e identificam-se outras áreas de desenvolvimento futuro relacionadas com Religiões e com a ‘Simbologia dos Quatro Elementos’.
This dissertation pretends to establish an original parallelism between the ‘Phases of the Water Cycle’ and ‘Umbanda Orishas’, an African root syncretic religion, based on the Nature Forces sacredness. The first chapter deals with the continuous change of water in hydrosphere, which is perpetuated through the three ‘Main Transferring Processes/Phases’ of the ‘Hydrologic Cycle’: ‘Evaporation, Precipitation and Draining’. In the second chapter a deep research on the ‘Origins, Basis and Religious Practice of Umbanda’, are presented, namely the influence of ‘Portuguese-Afro-Brazilian Diaspora’ on Umbanda implementation and migration to Portugal, and on the ‘Syncretism’ between ‘Orishas’ and «Catholic Saints». The third chapter tells some important peculiarities on ‘African Traditional Religions’, also presented in Umbanda, like the animism character and a Pantheon chaired by ‘Only One Creator God’, helped by a large set of Orishas, whose act as Nature Forces, and afterwards the proposed innovative distribution of ‘Water Orishas’ by each one of the three ‘Hydrologic Cycle Phases’, is exposed. In the conclusion the innovative distribution of ‘Water Orishas’ by the ‘Water Cycle Phases’, is briefly commented, some considerations on ‘Afrocentrism’ and ‘Afro-black Theology’, are referred, and some other themes to develop, related with Religions and the ‘Four Elements Symbolize’, are identified.
