Resumo
Este estudo, teve como principal objetivo analisar o impacto das experiencias adversas
precoces e da qualidade da vinculação nos comportamentos violentos manifestados nas
relações de namoro.
Para a presente investigação dos 632 jovens adultos com idades compreendidas entre
os 18 e os 30 anos de idade, que constituíam a amostra inicial, selecionou-se uma sub-amostra
(Almeida & Freire,2008), onde se excluíram jovens que nunca mantiveram uma relação íntima,
obtendo-se um total de 332 jovens.
Os instrumentos utilizados para o efeito foram: Questionário Sociodemográfico; o
Questionário da História da adversidade na infância (ACE, Silva & Maia , 2006); o Questionário
da Vinculação ao Pai e à Mãe (QVPM, Matos & Costa, 2001); e o Inventário de Conflitos nas
Relações de Namoro (CADRI, Saavedra, Machado, Martins & Vieira, 2008).
Os resultados demonstram que quanto maior o número a multiplicidade de experiências
adversas relatadas pelo indivíduo, respeitante ao período da sua infância, mais estratégias de
resolução de conflitos negativas e abusivas o mesmo utiliza enquanto adulto/adulto emergente.
Relativamente à qualidade da vinculação, indivíduos que relataram um padrão de vinculação
seguro, utilizavam estratégias de resolução de conflitos positivas e não abusivas nas suas
relações de intimidade.
This study aimed to analyze the impact of early adverse experiences and the quality of attachment in violent behavior manifested in dating relationships. For the present investigation of 632 young adults aged 18 to 30 years of age, who constituted the initial sample, we selected a subsample (Almeida & Freire, 2008), which were excluded young people who have never held a close relationship, resulting in a total of 332 young people. The instruments used for this purpose were: Socio-demographic Questionnaire; Quiz history of adversity in childhood (ACE, Maia & Silva, 2006); Quiz of Attachment to the Father and Mother (QVPM, Matos & Costa, 2001); and the Inventory of Conflict in Relationships Dating (CADRI, Saavedra, Machado & Vieira Martins, 2008). The results show that the higher the number the multitude of adverse experiences reported by the individual, covering the period of his childhood, more resolution strategies negative and abusive conflicts it uses as an adult / emerging adult. Regarding the quality of attachment, individuals who reported a secure pattern of attachment, used positive strategies for resolving conflicts and not abusive in their intimate relationships.
