'Uma Viagem pelos Arcos' : o ensino dos arcos como elemento arquitetónico no património

Resumo
O estudo do elemento arquitetónico arco, no seu processo construtivo e evolução
histórica, assume-se como um projeto pedagógico inserido na Prática de Ensino Supervisionada
para a conclusão do Mestrado em Ensino das Artes Visuais no 3º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e no
Ensino Secundário.
Os arcos são testemunhos privilegiados da evolução da ciência estrutural. Enquanto
elementos arquitetónicos, estão na base da arquitetura desde os seus primórdios até aos nossos
dias, tal como atesta parte significativa do nosso património histórico, muito particularmente o
religioso, estando novamente a ressurgir na contemporaneidade, a par de processos construtivos
mais recentes.
O projeto pedagógico Viagem pelos Arcos consiste numa proposta de ensino
aprendizagem dos conteúdos da disciplina de Educação Visual (EV) através do património
cultural/arquitetónico.
Este trabalho incide sobre o património cultural, uma questão relevante passível de ser
avaliada, de modo a determinar se o processo de ensino/aprendizagem da disciplina de
Educação Visual pode contribuir para familiarização dos alunos, mais especificamente no
contexto das suas vivências.
Nesta investigação foi utilizada a investigação-ação qualitativo, abordando questões
relacionadas com as artes visuais, estabelecendo alguns pontos sobre a educação patrimonial, a
sua importância no ensino e a representação para a comunidade.
Concluímos que o conteúdo do arco na arquitetura sendo um projeto importante no
ensino, mostra-nos que ao conhecer, valorizar as diferentes representações do património, o
aluno aperfeiçoa o espírito de pertença, de identidade e da preservação, e também a capacidade
do espírito critico e criativo.
The study of the architectural element arch, in its construction process and historical evolution, is assumed as a pedagogical project included in the Supervised Teaching Practice for the completion of the Master's Degree in Teaching of Visual Arts in the 3rd Cycle of Basic Education and Secondary Education. Arches are privileged testimonies of the evolution of structural science. As architectural elements, they have been at the basis of architecture from its beginnings to the present day, as attested by a significant part of our historical heritage, particularly the religious heritage, and are re-emerging in contemporary times, along with more recent construction processes. The pedagogical project Journey through Arches is a proposal for teaching and learning the contents of the Visual Education (VS) subject through the cultural/architectural heritage. This work focuses on the cultural heritage, a relevant issue which can be evaluated in order to determine if the teaching/learning process of the Visual Education subject can contribute to the familiarisation of the students, more specifical.y in the context of their experiences. In this research the qualitative methodology was used, addressing issues related to the visual arts, establishing some points about heritage education, its importance in teaching and representation to the community. We conclude that the content of the arch in architecture is an important project in teaching, showing us that by knowing and valuing the different representations of heritage, the student improves the spirit of belonging, identity and preservation, and also the capacity of critical and creative spirit.
