The main aim of this thesis, entitled "El olvido está lleno de memoria memoria": Fragments, burials and absences from the mythical Round Table of Santiago de Chile 1972, is to understand some of the processes of invisibilisation of the Santiago Round Table. The research is based on a bibliographical review of the subject. Three field trips were conducted in 2022 and 2023: two to Chile and one to Argentina. The research field stays were essential to collect the necessary documentary sources in loco, as well as to carry out dialogic experiments with people and institutions that have direct or indirect relations with the research topic. From a qualitative perspective, various methodological approaches were used, including ethnography and cartography, in order to outline the social configurations of the lived experiences that biographize the event of May 1972. The theoretical and methodological option of this thesis is to treat without hierarchies the archival documents accessed throughout the investigation, the authors from the most diverse areas, from Museologies, more specifically from the School of Thought of Social Museology, literature (novel and poetry), cinema and music. The analysis itself is based in an interdisciplinary and multi-epistemic approach. By researching the most emblematic museum event in Latin America on the one hand, it was possible to answer some initial questions, such as the production of invisibilities of important presences that played a major role in the May 1972 event. On the other hand, the research results also reveal that the production of knowledge resulting from the Santiago Declaration remains current and challenges the field of Social Museology today. Perhaps the greatest findings of this research are the paths it points to for future researchers. Keywords: Santiago Round Table, Social Museology, Memories, Biographical Fragments, Grete Mostny
