rejuvenescedores.
The replacement of road pavements has associated high annual budgets combined with a huge production of waste, and consequently a large utilization of natural resources. In this way, the multi-recycling of recycled bituminous mix (MBR) presents itself as a solution to part of a problem, thus avoiding its classification as waste. Throughout the successive recycling cycles, it is necessary to use rejuvenators to recover the properties of the bitumen fraction present in the MBR, so if different rejuvenators are used, their interaction needs to be evaluated. In order to evaluate the interaction between two rejuvenators of different origins considering two MBR recycling cycles in mixtures with high incorporation rates (75%) for wear layers for road pavements, tests were carried out to characterize the rejuvenated bitumen, with behavior mechanical properties, surface characteristics and Marshall and volumetric properties. The results were compared with a previous case study that used three types of bituminous mixtures and always the same rejuvenator to recover them. Therefore, the interaction between two different rejuvenators, from similar samples, in the same recycling cycle, did not show great variations in the tests and characteristics of the MBR, demonstrating a good compatibility between the rejuvenators.
