Resumo
Esta dissertação nasce a partir de uma proposta de intervenção na Quinta da
Conceição, em Leça da Palmeira, para a construção de uma Escola de Dança.
A luz natural e a sua incidência foi o elemento principal a ser considerado
durante todo o desenvolvimento do projeto, afetando a forma do edifício e o seu
interior até alcançar a proposta final. Começo por introduzir os benefícios da luz
natural em geral, e tal como no meu projeto, a forma como a arquitetura é
influenciada de forma a atingir uma finalidade.
Sendo o elemento na arquitetura que permite a entrada de luz natural nos
edifícios, faço uma breve analise ao vidro que tem também um papel fundamental no
meu edifício.
De seguida desenvolve-se uma analise e comparação de obras relevantes para
a Escola de Dança para evidenciar o impacto da luz natural nos mesmos.
Apresenta-se assim o Programa da Escola de Dança e o terreno da zona de
intervenção, e uma síntese algumas obras compreendidas dentro do terreno da Quinta
da Conceição que foram fontes de inspiração para o projeto. A memoria descritiva e
analise da proposta final para o projeto completa este capitulo demonstrando a
importância da luz natural na modulação dos seus espaços e forma.
The present dissertation is strictly related to a proposal for a Dance School in Quinta da Conceição, in Leça da Palmeira. Natural light was the main concern during the project’s development and therefore affected the shape of the building and its internal organization. I began by introducing the benefits of natural light in general, and the way in which architecture is influenced in order to achieve a result. Being the element in Arquitecture that allows the entrance of natural light into buildings and playing a fundamental role in my proposal, a brief analysis of glass was made. An analysis and comparison of the relevant architectural works for the dance school was carried out in order to understand the way natural light influenced the modulation of their forms and spaces. The next step was to describe the requirements for the Dance School and the area of intervention. For a better understanding of the place, some of the existent Arquitectural works were analysed since they too were a source of inspiration for my proposal. Finally, I described and analized the proposal for the Dance School explaining the way which natural light has influenced the modulation of its spaces and form.
