Valores pessoais e comportamentos anti-sociais em adolescentes em regime de internato e externato numa instituição escolar

Os comportamentos antissociais são aqueles que se desviam daquilo que é social e culturalmente esperado. Este tipo de comportamentos ocorre tipicamente durante a adolescência. Neste contexto, a identificação dos valores, enquanto guias que orientam a vida, assume uma particular importância. O principal objetivo do presente estudo foi identificar os valores pessoais e os comportamentos antissociais de um grupo de adolescentes e analisar as relações entre estas variáveis e características sociodemográficas, tais como regime de frequência numa instituição escolar, idade, nível socioecónomico e nacionalidade. Os participantes do presente estudo foram 190 alunos de uma instituição escolar, tendo respondido a um questionário sociodemográfico, ao Questionário de Condutas Antissociais e ao Questionário sobre os Valores Pessoais. Os principais resultados mostraram a prevalência de valores coletivos na presente amostra, assim como uma prevalência de comportamentos relativos a conduta contra normas e agressão. A idade foi a única variável que se associou significativamente com os comportamentos antissociais e valores pessoais. Os resultados correlacionais mostraram ainda associações entre os comportamentos antissociais e os valores pessoais, tendo-se constatado nas análises de regressão lineares que o domínio coletivo explica inversamente o envolvimento em comportamentos antissociais, enquanto o domínio hedonista, positivamente.
Antisocial behaviours are those that deviate from what is socially and culturally expected; this type of behaviour can occur during adolescence. In this process, the identification of values that guides life, assumes a particular importance. The main objective of the present study was to identify personal values and antisocial behaviours of adolescents and to analyze the relationships between these variables and sociodemographic characteristics, such as frequency regime in a school institution, age, socioeconomic status and. The participants of this study were 190 students of a school institution, who responded to a demographic questionnaire, the Antisocial Conduct Questionnaire and the Questionnaire about Personal Values. The main results showed the prevalence of collective values, as well as the prevalence of against rules behaviours and aggression. Age was the only variable associated with antisocial behaviours and personal values. The correlation results also showed associations between antisocial behaviours and personal values, and it was found in the linear regression analysis that the collective domain explains inversely antisocial behaviours, while hedonistic domain explains positively.
