The creation of a digital instrument goes beyond its sonic capabilities and algorithmic power, requiring a conceptual reflection on the forms of interaction and thought it proposes. It also demands consideration of new ways to organize time, textures, forms, and the musical context in real time. This research focuses on the aesthetic issues and strategies of computational music with interactive instruments, where a set of tools is developed and integrated into a network of processes. These processes range from audio signal feature extractors to control methods applied to sound synthesis. By adopting design principles, the interaction between sound and musician is algorithmically controlled, encompassing sound material, compositional processes, and performance. Compositional aesthetics explores the concept of Microsound, proposing technical and artistic solutions for computational music creation. The compositional process establishes a dynamic and interactive relationship between the musician and the machine, focusing on the formation and manipulation of these interactions. Free improvisation is seen as a means to navigate and explore sonic constellations. In this context, a system will be presented that incorporates these approaches, fostering new forms of musical creativity.
