Este estudo teve como objetivo compreender a forma como ocorre o processo de inclusão
educacional do aluno surdo no ensino regular em uma escola pública, elaborando a discussão
em torno da questão norteadora de pesquisa que consistiu em saber, considerando as políticas
de Educação Inclusiva, de que forma esse processo se efetiva em instituição da rede de ensino
municipal de Aracaju/SE. Seguiu-se a metodologia do estudo de caso e adotou-se a pesquisa
qualitativa para obter informações que tornassem possível uma melhor compreensão do
fenômeno. Na coleta de dados, utilizou-se a entrevista que se realizou com a coordenadora
pedagógica, cinco professores, dentre eles, uma docente que atua na sala de recursos
multifuncionais, e cinco alunos surdos, os quais tiveram o apoio de uma intérprete para
responder às perguntas desta pesquisa. Com foco nas situações vivenciadas em sala de aula,
optou-se ainda pela observação não participante para verificar as estratégias utilizadas, pelos
docentes, para a inclusão dos alunos surdos no ambiente escolar. Os resultados obtidos
apontam que a escola pública de ensino regular ainda não está preparada para receber o aluno
surdo. Embora as leis assegurem, sem restrições, o acesso de todos ao ensino, ainda é pouco
diante de tudo o que precisa ser modificado e adaptado a fim de que esse aluno permaneça na
escola, recebendo uma educação de qualidade.
This study aimed to understand how the process of educational inclusion of the deaf student in regular school in a public school occurs, elaborating the discussion around the guiding question of research that consisted in knowing, considering the policies of Inclusive Education, that form this process is effective in institution of the municipal education network of Sergipe. The methodology of the case study was followed and qualitative research was adopted to obtain information that would make possible a better understanding of the phenomenon. In the data collection, the interview was carried out with the pedagogical coordinator, five teachers, among them a teacher who works in the multifunctional resources room, and five deaf students, who had the support of an interpreter to respond to the questions of this research. Focusing on the situations experienced in the classroom, non-participant observation was also used to verify the strategies used by the teachers to include deaf students in the school environment. The results obtained indicate that the public school of regular education is not yet ready to receive the deaf student. Although laws ensure unrestricted access to education for all, there is still little in the way of everything that needs to be modified and adapted in order for that student to remain in school, receiving a quality education.
