The main goal of this project is the elaboration of a training course report which was held at the time of the course conclusion and thereby obtaining the master's degree in football by the Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologia. This training course has taken place with the initiated team of the Grupo Desportivo Estoril Praia, during 2016/2017, in a context of National Championship (Juniors C). This report is focused in an in-depth and reflective analysis of the training process, the model of game, and the concept and practic applied by the responsible technical board for the Beginners of Grupo Desportivo Estoril Praia. In what concerns to the training process, 121 units were analyzed which corresponds to 10650 training minutes. In this report have elaborated an article whose theme is “The Coach’s Philosophy”. The choice has naturally arisen due to the constant need of reflection on this area and also the need of defining a line of thought and work, coherent with my principles and goals. As we could verify along the sport season, the technical board preferentially uses specific preparation methods in order to put into practice the concept of game, the competitive exercises and the sectorial ones representing close to 50% of the total training time. The same value occurs when we compare the pre-competition and competition periods. When we analyze the standard microcycles of the sport season (pre-competition and competition periods), we come to the conclusion that the most used exercises were those of keeping the possession of the ball and the competitive exercises. Comparing the two competition periods of the season, the exercises for training possession of the ball and the competitive ones still are predominant. In consideration of my coach’s philosophy and bearing in mind the article’s elaboration, I recognize the crucial importance of substantiating and organizing ideas which demands a constant reevaluation of the philosophy, thus being a personal issue which demands reflection, acquired knowledge and experience, all depending on role models and values.
