Política externa francesa na África Ocidental e Equatorial

Abstract

África é conhecida como o continente pobre, apesar das enormes reservas de recursos naturais nele contidas. Alguns apontam que a razão desse contraste se deve à maldição da variedade de grandes riquezas naturais que o país detém. Sem dúvida, a grande maioria de estudiosos ou simples curiosos sobre esta questão concordam que a situação de declínio político, económico e social do continente africano se deve à ambição do poder, ao infindável número de ditadores ineptos que a administram desastrosamente, desde o surgimento dos primeiros Estados Africanos, e que, até hoje, a dinâmica dos líderes africanos continua com a mesma tendência ditatorial ou é, simplesmente, incapacitada. Todavia, será que os únicos responsáveis por esse cenário são os próprios africanos? Se são, quais deverão ser os mecanismos para tentar reverter essa situação de pobreza? Se eles foram usados, o que os impede de alcançar o objetivo de desenvolverem o continente nos seus diferentes aspetos? Esta última preocupação será abordada nesta dissertação. Focar-nos-emos nos países que têm uma relação colonial ou económica com a República Francesa. Tentaremos averiguar até que ponto continuam vinculados ao colonialismo, que grau de influências coloniais continuam a ter, a nível político, social, económico e cultural, e quais são as consequências que essas influências externas causam internamente em alguns dos países mencionados. Utilizaremos uma metodologia qualitativa de análise que recolhe dados bibliográficos previamente apresentados na literatura sobre o tema da dissertação, bem como pesquisas webgráficas, tais como entrevistas, documentos, documentários e reportagens.

Africa is known as the poor continent despite the enormous reserves of natural resources found in it. Some point out that the reason for this contradiction is the so-called curse of raw materials. Without a doubt, the vast majority of scholars on this matter or simply curious, they agree that the situation of political, economic and social decline in the black continent is due to the ambition of power, to the endless number of inept dictators who managed disastrously since the emergence of the first African States and that until today, the dynamics of African leaders continue with the same dictatorial tendency or simply incapacitated; But could it be that the only ones responsible for this scenario are the Africans themselves? If they are, have they used mechanisms to try to reverse this situation of poverty? And if they have used them, what prevents them from reaching the goal of developing the continent in its different aspects? This last concern will be addressed in this research work. We will focus on countries that have a colonial or economic relationship with the French Republic. We are going to analyse to what extent they continue to be linked to their colonial umbilical cord, what degree of colonial influence they continue to have, at a political, social, economic and cultural level, especially the consequences that these external influences cause internally in some of the countries mentioned. We will use a qualitative analysis methodology which gathers bibliographical data previously presented in the literature on the topic of the dissertation, as well as webgraphic research, namely, interviews, documents, documentaries and in-depth media reports.
