This report was prepared within the scope of the Supervised Teaching Practice (STP), part of the Master's Degree in Informatics Teaching at Universidade Lusófona. The pedagogical intervention took place at António Damásio Secondary School, within the subject of Communication Networks, specifically in the module on Static Web Page Development, taught to 11th-grade students in the Professional Course in Computer Systems Management and Programming. During the STP, Problem-Based Learning (PBL) was used, and research was conducted on the main challenges students face when transitioning from theoretical understanding of HTML to its practical application. A mixed methodology was adopted, combining both qualitative and quantitative data. Through direct observation, the application of questionnaires, and the analysis of students’ work, several difficulties were identified, such as: HTML and CSS syntax, planning and structuring a web page, solving problems in real-world contexts, and the time required to consolidate learning.
