A formação de professores e profissionalização docente em contexto militar: um estudo para proposta de um modelo de formação de professores no Instituto Superior de Estudos de Defesa de Moçambique

Resumo
O presente estudo têm por títuloː A Formação e Profissionalização de Professores em
Contexto Militarː Um Estudo para proposta de um Modelo de formação de professores para
o Instituto Superior de Estudos de Defesa de Moçambique. O objectivo do estudo é
contribuir no sentido de conceber um modelo de formação para os Professores em exercício
no ISEDEF.
No campo teórico procurou-se compreender os conceitos de formação de professores, com
enfoque para os modelos e estratégia de formação de professores em exercício.
O campo empírico enquadrado, numa investigação de natureza qualitativa e quantitativa
centrado num estudo (colectivo de casos) mobiliza a análise resultante de um conjunto de
entrevistas à membros de três instituições, o Instituto Superior de Estudos de Defesa, a
Universidade Politécnica e a Universidade Católica de Moçambique em Nampula e um
questionário conduzido com os professores do ISEDEF e da Academia Militar.
Não se tratou de um estudo comparado. A comparação surgiu como inevitável dado que
visava compreender como as duas instituições (Universidade Politécnica e Universidade
Católica), trataram e/ou têm vindo a tratar sobre o recrutamento dos professores e sua
formação em exercício, uma vez estabelecimentos de ensino superior já em funcionamento
há bastante tempo.
Face aos resultados do estudo, concluiu-se que o recrutamento dos professores para o
quadro docente do ISEDEF está afastado de normas seguidas por outras instituições de
ensino superior em Moçambique; O perfil dos professores não responde ao exigido pelo
regulamento do sistema do ensino superior; Não há cultura de formação de professores no
ISEDEF.
Como solução, recomenda-seː Que seja definido claramente o perfil do professor do
ISEDEF; Que haja rigor na selecção de candidatos a instituição; Que seja desenvolvido um
programa específico para a formação dos professores que apresentam os níveis
desajustados ao exercício de funções, de forma que, a médio e longo prazo o ISEDEF tenha
um quadro exclusivamente constituído por professores qualificados.

This study is entitled Training and Professionalization of Teachers in Military Context A Study for a proposed teacher training model for the Institute of Mozambique Defense Studies. The aim of the study is to contribute towards designing a training model for teachers in exercise in ISEDEF. In theory it sought to understand the concepts of teacher training, focusing on models and teacher training strategy exercise. The empirical field framed in a research qualitative and quantitative centered on a study (group of cases) mobilizes the resulting analysis of a set of interviews with members of the three institutions, the Institute of Defense Studies, the Polytechnic University and the Catholic University of Mozambique in Nampula and a questionnaire conducted with teachers ISEDEF and the Military Academy. It was not a comparative study. The comparison has emerged as inevitable as it aimed to understand how the two institutions (Polytechnic University and Catholic University), treated and / or have been dealing on the recruitment of teachers and their in-service training, as higher education institutions already in operation for quite a long time. Given the results of the study, it was concluded that the recruitment of teachers for the teaching staff of ISEDEF is away from standards followed by other higher education institutions in Mozambique; The profile of teachers does not respond to the requirements of the higher education system of the Regulation; There is no teacher training culture in ISEDEF. As a solution, it is recommended that is clearly defined ISEDEF teacher profile; There is rigor in the selection of candidates for the institution; That is developed a specific program for the training of teachers who have the misfits levels to exercise functions, so that in the medium and long term ISEDEF has a frame made exclusively by qualified teachers.
