In an increasingly global world, where organisational success also depends on the quality and retention of employees, it is essential that human resources processes are efficient, effective and geared towards retention. This project centred on studying the process of integrating new employees, with the aim of assessing its effectiveness in promoting retention in a private healthcare group. To this end, an action research methodology was used, utilising a qualitative-quantitative approach of a descriptive and exploratory nature. Data collection focused on employees' perceptions during their first 30 days at the organisation. The research made it possible to identify strengths and weaknesses in the processes in place, making it possible to introduce improvements in line with the defined objectives. Project management followed the life cycle methodology proposed by the Project Management Institute (PMI, 2021), and SMART objectives were applied to guide the development and monitoring of the project. Implementation considered the Kaleidoscope of Change model, which analysed six fundamental dimensions of organisational change. The PERT tool was also used to plan the sequence and duration of activities, identifying the critical path for successful project execution.
