O presente estudo teve como principal objetivo explorar as representações relativamente a diferentes grupos étnicos e raciais e em relação ao colonialismo, bem como as associações entre estas e os fenómenos do racismo e discriminação étnico-racial. A amostra é constituída por 228 participantes, 134 (58,8%) mulheres, com média de idades 33 (DP = 10.2). A recolha foi realizada através de formulário online que incluía um conjunto medidas para a avaliação das representações a atitudes do colonialismo, tolerância ao racismo estrutural, racismo interpessoal, racismo subtil, racismo explícito e preconceito. Concluiu-se que a representação de relativização e atitudes favoráveis ao colonialismo estão associadas às múltiplas formas de preconceito e racismo.
The main objective of the present study was to explore the representations regarding different ethnic and racial groups and colonialism, as well as the associations between them and the phenomena of racism and ethnic-racial discrimination. The sample consisted of 228 participants, 134 (58.8%) women, with age mean of 33 (SD = 10.2). The collection was done through an online form that included a set of measures for the evaluation of representations of colonialist attitudes, tolerance of structural racism, interpersonal racism, subtle racism, explicit racism and prejudice. It was concluded that the representation of relativization and favorable attitudes towards colonialism are associated with the multiple forms of prejudice and racism.
