Uveitis is an ocular disease characterized by inflammation of the uvea, and is classified into different forms depending on the ocular structures involved, the clinical signs presented and their duration. In horses, the most common form of uveitis is panuveitis, which involves all anatomical structures of the uvea, and may be acute, chronic or recurrent. In recurrent uveitis, the inflammation may still be active or quiescent (without evident signs of inflammation). The purpose of this dissertation was to analyse the disease and the conclusions obtained after a comparative study with the clinical cases observed during the internship, thus having a more precise theoretical and practical perspective on the subject. Each case was analysed in detail after a previous approach to the ocular anatomy and the pathology in question. The main goal was essentially to verify if the clinical signs, therapeutic options and prognosis were the most expected ones, based on all the theory covered. Key words: recurrent uveitis, ophthalmology, equine, treatment
