This document was drawn up as part of the Master's programme in Sports Coaching at the Lusófona University, Lisbon University Center. It aims to present the entire internship process undertaken in the Strategy, Evaluation and Talent Department of Sporting Clube de Portugal. In this context, the trainee had the opportunity to experience a range of training football experiences that allowed him to apply the academic and scientific knowledge he had acquired. The primary objective of the Strategy, Evaluation and Talent Department's main objective being to identify talent, particularly young players who, in the medium to long term, can make it into the first team in a sustained manner. Therefore, it was essential to clarify this concept in the Introduction chapter. The trainee's role in the department primarily involved tasks such as preparing reports on reference players observed while scouting, providing daily support to the operations subdepartment in terms of day-to-day needs, and assisting at the EUL Centre. The intern also contributed to the development of the ‘Talent in Sporting Somos Nós’ project, which involved all the club’s departments. Acting as a scout for approximately two months (March and April), the intern watched a total of 70 games and produced around 91 individual reports on players from the 2010 to 2017 generation. Regarding the ‘O Talento no Sporting Somos Nós’ project and the intern’s role in it, 372 participants were involved in this project. The intern had in-person meetings with more than 200 of them, leading to various conclusions on the respective issues addressed. Keywords: Scouting, Talent Identification, Recruitment, Development, Training, Performance.
