componentes do estudo.
receio do assédio.
This study has the main objective of answering a question: how to identify a woman's expectations regarding the trip to a recognized Islamic country? It is intended to analyze the answers about the trips of eighteen interviewees of different age groups and travel experiences, acquired through the application of the methodology of in-depth interviews in order to understand what the different opinions are about being a female traveler in Islamic countries. An exploratory research was carried out through training in the context of Arab countries, and a review of the literature collected on women's tourism today and the importance and urgency of more academic information on women's tourism in Islamic countries, taking into account their particularities regarding to the female gender, and also the need to understand: how much of what we know about Islamic countries is real, and how much is prejudice? After applying the interviews, a data analysis was carried out in order to understand which concepts are most present in each of the interviewees' answers. For the conclusion of this study, the results of the data analysis of the interviews were compared with the literature review in order to discern the links between all components of the study. It was finally evident that the reaction of a woman when faced with the possibility of a trip to an Islamic country is, in terms of curiosity and cultural interest, a very positive reaction, but not without considering the lack of female representation, the lack of sense of security and fear of harassment.
