Violence among intimacy relationships has a purpose to deliberately inflict damage, induce fear, be a subordinate, depreciate and make the victim feel herself/himself incompetent through abusive power, especially physical, psychology or sexual violence. These ones have the tendency to frequently escalate with time (Matos, 2005, coted in Sani, 2008). The main objective of this research is the relationship between perpetration of intimate partner violence (IPV) by men and women and the educational practices that are adopted. It also aims to understand the relationship between the abusive experiences during childhood and adolescence, as well as the perpetration of violence among intimacy relationships in adulthood and its educational practices. The sample of this research, initially, was formed by 207 participants, in the end, it was only composed by 114 participants. In what the vehicles used are concerned, it was used the Marital Violence Inventory, the Adverse Childhood Experiences – ACE, the Educational Practices Inventory, and the Socially Desirable Response Set-5. The main results that were presented were the facts that the more adverse experiences in childhood and adolescence, the more abusive physical and emotional behaviors were associated. The participants who lived these adverse childhood experiences had also higher tendency to have violence in intimacy. In the Marital Violence Inventory, it was also clear that the participants who use violence, have a higher probability of adopting abuse educational action with their children. In conclusion, this research is very innovate, as there are few investigations that can relate the perpetration of violence among intimacy and parenting educational practices among the perpetrators.
