Most models and practices psychological theories and practices are typically Eurocentric, which compromises intervention with racially diverse groups. The perception and dissatisfaction of racialized clients about the quality of interventions is still scarcely studied. This systematic review aims to: (i) analyze the experience of racialized groups and their perceptions about the quality of therapeutic interventions; (ii) explore the role of the psychologist's cultural skills and the skills most valued by racialized clients. A total of 199 articles were extracted from four databases (Psycoinfo, Web of Science, Pub-Med and B On) between January 2010 and November 2021. Twelve articles met the inclusion criteria. The results indicate that the experience of microaggressions is very common when racialized people seek mental health services. Dissatisfaction with interventions is associated with value judgments and prejudices and therapist’s discomfort or avoidance of cultural issues. Satisfied customers underline the importance of empathy, flexibility, humility, and cultural comfort. The importance of culturally responsive interventions and the training of culturally competent psychologists is discussed.
