Research has shown that the use of Virtual Reality (VR) employed in the treatment of mental disorders, like anxiety disorders and trauma and stressor-related disorders, it's very important because it can increase exposure treatment, which is considered to be the first-line treatment for Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Considering that first responders are a population at high risk for the development of PTSD, the objective of this study was to understand if there was literature on treatments for PTSD with VR for first responders and what is the effectiveness of these interventions in this population. In this way, was made a systematic review of studies published in five databases, without time constraint. The selection of articles was carried out independently by two researchers and inconsistencies resolved by consensus. According to the process of a systematic review, it was not possible to include any of the studies found in this review. In general, it is concluded that the studies in this field are scarce, being necessary a greater investment in the scientific study of the treatment of PTSD using VR, in first responders.
