Mediar os conflitos da sala de aula é algo difícil e a falta de conhecimento dos
profissionais para essas situações conflituosas agrava o problema. Pesquisar sobre
este fenômeno dos conflitos contribui para entender as interações sociais nas escolas
e para melhorar o ambiente educativo. A pesquisa tem como objetivo geral
compreender os conflitos na escola para melhorar o conhecimento sobre o cotidiano
da escola e as interações sociais que acontecem dentro e fora da sala de aula. Neste
sentido, desenvolveu-se esta pesquisa, de natureza qualitativa, baseada num estudo
de caso, com recurso à recolha documental, às técnicas de observação e entrevista
para a recolha de dados. A coleta de dados foi realizada num colégio da Cidade de
Feira de Santana, onde participaram estudantes do 5.º Ano e a professora regente.
Na análise de dados percebe-se que os conflitos acontecem diariamente, tanto na
sala como no recreio, sem uma eficaz intervenção dos adultos, agravando assim os
conflitos e evidenciando a falta de estratégias para a resolução de conflitos na escola.
Para conviver em harmonia é necessário uma estratégia integrada da escola, com
regras construídas pela comunidade escolar, sem esquecer os próprios alunos,
possibilitando a melhoria do ambiente escolar.
Mediation of classroom conflicts is a difficult task, and the lack of professional knowledge for these conflicting situations aggravates the problem. Research on this conflict phenomena contributes to understanding social interactions in schools and to improving the educational environment. The general objective of the research is to understand the conflicts in the school to improve the knowledge about the daily life of the school and the social interactions that happen inside and outside the classroom. In this sense, this qualitative research was developed, based on a case study, with the use of documentary collection, observation techniques and interviews for data collection. Data collection was carried out at a school in the city of Feira de Santana, where 5th year students and the regent teacher participated. Data analysis shows that conflicts occur daily, both in the classroom and in the playground, without an effective intervention of adults, thus aggravating conflicts and demonstrating the lack of strategies for resolving conflicts in school. To live in harmony requires an integrated school strategy, with rules built by the school community, not forgetting the students themselves, making possible the improvement of the school environment.
