dc.description.abstractpresente dissertação aborda a conceção de um projeto de arquitetura religiosa com várias valências, tais como a igreja, as capelas mortuárias e o centro paroquial. Numa fase inicial, para existir um maior entendimento sobre o tema abordado foram feitas várias pesquisas, quer sobre a liturgia católica, quer sobre a arquitetura religiosa portuguesa, sendo de realçar que a linha temporal nesta análise é delimitada aos séculos XX e XXI. Face às pesquisas litúrgicas, considero-as de grande relevância, pois Portugal é um país com uma longa tradição religiosa. Considero que, na linha temporal abordada nesta análise, foram edificados vários edifícios de cariz religioso, o que, de um modo geral, nos permite ter uma perceção da evolução da arquitetura religiosa portuguesa nos séculos XX e XXI. O Movimento de Renovação da Arte Religiosa (MRAR), que surgiu nos anos sessenta do século XX, e que propunha uma outra visão para os novos espaços litúrgicos e objetos sacros, teve, neste contexto uma importância fundamental na afirmação e construção destes espaços. No decorrer do trabalho, foram pesquisados vários exemplos de complexos religiosos em território nacional, dos quais foram escolhidos três casos de estudo, que se revelaram os mais significativos para a elaboração desta dissertação de mestrado e são ilustrativos da evolução da arquitetura religiosa em Portugal. Os referidos casos de estudo contribuíram de forma significativa para o desenvolvimento do meu projeto de arquitetura religiosa, quer ao nível da conceção dos edifícios que fazem parte deste complexo religioso, quer de alguns espaços litúrgicos, nomeadamente a igreja e as capelas mortuárias. Ao nível dos objetos litúrgicos projetados para a igreja, os mesmos têm como referência os três casos de estudo apresentados nesta dissertação de mestrado, assim como outros casos estudados, que não serão apresentados neste trabalho. dc.description.abstractThe present dissertation addresses the conception of a religious architecture project with several valences, such as the church, the mortuary chapels and the parish center. In an initial phase, in order to have a better understanding of the subject in question, some researches were conducted, both on the Catholic liturgy and on the Portuguese religious architecture. It is worth mentioning that the time line in this analysis is delimited by the 20th and 21st centuries. In what concerns the liturgical research, I regard it of great relevance, since Portugal is a country with a long religious tradition. I recognize that in the time line addressed in this analysis several buildings of religious nature were built, which in general allows us to have a perception of the evolution of Portuguese religious architecture in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. The Movement for the Renewal of Religious Art (MRAR), that emerged in the sixties of the twentieth century, and which proposed another vision for the new liturgical spaces and sacred objects, had, in this context, a fundamental importance in the affirmation and construction of such spaces. During this work, several examples of religious complexes in Portugal were researched, from which three case studies were chosen, that proved to be the most significant for the preparation of this master thesis and are illustrative of the evolution of religious architecture in Portugal. These case studies contributed significantly to the development of my project of religious architecture both in terms of the design of the buildings that are part of this religious complex and some liturgical spaces, including the church and the mortuary chapels. In what concerns the liturgical objects designed for the church, they have as reference the three case studies presented in this master dissertation in addition to others that will not be presented in this work.
