Resumo
O presente relatório tem como objetivo sublinhar o potencial da Arte Contemporânea como recurso, atualmente, na sala de aula. O que é, para que serve e como ler a arte hoje? Pretende-se também compreender de que forma os alunos interpretam e aceitam a Arte Contemporânea, e qual o papel do professor de artes visuais na condução da leitura de uma linguagem que se pode considerar assumidamente difícil e desafiante para ambos, mas essencial para uma integração dos alunos nas atividades culturais do seu tempo.
A pertinência da pesquisa a realizar prende-se com o facto de possibilitar uma reflexão sobre o ensino da arte na atualidade e com o incentivo para a realização de práticas de ensino sobre um tipo de arte que está inteiramente ligada à vida, refletindo a época atual, impregnada de mudanças que ocorrem celeremente na sociedade, na cultura e na arte.
Diante da crise de interpretação que se vive na contemporaneidade em relação à arte, sublinha-se a importância do contacto dos alunos com práticas artísticas contemporâneas na sala de aula e que o mesmo seja objeto de reflexão e discussão, reforçando o imperativo de que os alunos devem compreender a linguagem do seu tempo. No âmbito desta pesquisa pretendeu-se analisar e investigar o potencial pedagógico da arte contemporânea na sala de aula, a partir das premissas possibilitadas pelo campo expandido das suas práticas e nobilitando o poder da cultura visual.
Os dados apurados através dos diferentes instrumentos permitem-nos concluir que as estratégias de contacto direto com a arte, a realização de exercícios de agilização do pensamento criativo e a abordagem de conteúdos relacionados com a Arte Contemporânea, a par da realização de experiências de produção plástica, proporcionaram o aumento dos níveis de literacia em artes plásticas dos alunos, promovendo os seus conhecimentos sobre Arte Contemporânea e o desenvolvimento do seu potencial criativo.
The present essay aims to understand the potential of Contemporary Art currently, has a resource in classroom. What it is, what it does and how to read art today? It also intends to understand how students interpret and accept Contemporary Art, and the role of the art teacher conducting the reading of a language admittedly difficult and challenging for both, but essential for an integration of students in cultural activities of their time. The relevance of the research to be carried out relates to the fact that enables a reflection on modern art education currently, and encourages for teaching practical realization about an art entirely linked to everyday life, reflecting our current times, impregnated with changes that occur quickly in society, culture and art. And so, before the crisis of interpretation that we live in contemporaneity in relation to art, it becomes very important that art becomes subject to discussion in the classroom along with student´s contact with contemporary artistic practices, reinforcing the imperative that students must understand the language of their time. Within the framework of this research we intend to analyze and investigate the pedagogical potential of contemporary art in classroom, from assumptions made possible by the expanded field of their practices and distinguishing the power of visual culture. The data resulted from the different methods applied helps us to conclude that strategies that promote the direct contact with art, the increase of exercises that stimulate creative thinking and the enrolment in topics related with visual arts and Contemporary Art, side by side with practical artistic experiences and work, boost the levels of literacy in visual arts in students, promoting their knowledge about Contemporary Art and the developing of their creative potential. The appreciation of aesthetics stimulates the capacity of observation, interpretation and critical awareness of the students, contributing for the better development of this capacity and a better understanding of all artistic expressions.
