A importância da escola bíblica dominical na Igreja Assembleia de Deus para o bairro Vila Nova República em São Luís do Maranhão

O presente trabalho parte da preocupação acerca da necessidade de uma orientação educacional religiosa, a importância da Escola Bíblica Dominical. Os resultados são obtidos a partir de uma pesquisa realizada através da coleta de dados na Escola Bíblica Dominical na Igreja Assembleia de Deus, localizada no bairro Vila Nova República em São Luís do Maranhão, Brasil, situada em uma comunidade rural. Na análise sistemática são apresentadas respostas à seguinte indagação: considerando a importância da fundamentação histórica para o entendimento dos objetivos atuais da Escola Bíblica Dominical e considerando a atuação no objeto de estudo, é possível afirmar que além de tudo que a EBD promove a função social de integração entre as pessoas da comunidade? Descreve-se a metodologia como sendo bibliográfica, descritiva, inferencial e qualitativa, visto que analisa, descreve e relata as características dos membros dessa igreja bem como de que forma essa influência e impacta a sociedade do bairro Nova República e adjacências. Em resultados, constata-se que a igreja atua com seus professores e isso gera um impacto direto na sociedade local. A problematização é respondida quando os dados mostram que é possível desempenhar o papel social através de todos os benefícios da EBD, além de promover a integração na área de estudo, com ênfase nos calendários festivos da comunidade.
This work starts from the concern about the need for a religious educational orientation, the importance of the Sunday School. The results are obtained from a survey conducted through data collection in the Sunday School of the Church Assembly of God, located in the Vila Nova República neighborhood in São Luís do Maranhão, Brazil, located in a rural community. In the systematic analysis, answers to the following question are presented: considering the importance of the historical foundation for the understanding of the current objectives of the Sunday School and considering the performance in the object of study, it is possible to say that, above all, EBD promotes the social function of integration among people in the community? The methodology is described as being bibliographical, descriptive, inferential and qualitative, as it analyzes, describes and reports the characteristics of the members of this church as well as how this influence and impacts the society of the Nova República neighborhood and its surroundings. In results, it appears that the church works with its teachers and this generates a direct impact on the local society. The questioning is answered when the data show that it is possible to play the social role through all the benefits of the EBD, in addition to promoting integration in the study area, with an emphasis on the community's festive calendars.
