Êxito de aprendizagem no ensino da matemática: estudo realizado com alunos do ensino médio da escola de referência em ensino médio de Belo Jardim/PE

Resumo
A presente investigação objetivou compreender que tipos de elementos (abrangendo
razões internas e/ou externas ao âmbito escolar) contribuíram para o êxito na disciplina
de Matemática de alunos do ensino médio de uma Escola de Referência em Ensino
Médio, localizada no município de Belo Jardim – PE. Através de aportes teóricos
quanto às teorias da aprendizagem, aos processos de ensino-aprendizagem e à
compreensão dos procedimentos avaliativos; bem como através de questionário com
alunos(as) concluintes do ensino médio com média igual ou superior a oito na disciplina
de Matemática e realizando entrevistas com alguns dos professores dessa disciplina
indicados pelos alunos, buscou-se levantar elementos propiciadores do êxito de
aprendizagem apresentado por estes alunos em Matemática. Ambos os grupos de
colaboradores (alunos e professores) concordam com a forte presença do professor
como mediador do processo ensino-aprendizagem, assim como consideram uma
insuficiência quanto à participação da família e ao uso das tecnologias no processo
educativo escolar, o que nos aponta possíveis objetos de estudo futuro. Os professores
referiram-se aos seus alunos como o centro do processo educativo, já os alunos
atribuíram este lugar aos seus professores, possuindo estes para os seus alunos, grande
influência para se alcançar o êxito da aprendizagem. A investigação leva-nos a
oportunizar aos docentes dessa área a apropriação dos elementos positivos que têm
contribuído para um processo ensino-aprendizagem eficaz, podendo-se replicar esses
elementos e ações a um universo maior de alunos.
This research had the purpose to understand what types of elements (including internal and external school reasons) contributed to the success in Mathematics for high school students in a school of Reference in High School, located in Belo Jardim - PE. Through theoretical frameworks about learning theories, the processes of teaching and learning and understanding of evaluation procedures; as well as through questionnaires with middle school graduates students with an average equal to or greater than eight in Mathematics and performing interviews with some of the teachers of this discipline showed by the students, was sought to identify enablers elements of successful learning presented by these students in Mathematics. Both groups of employees (students and teachers) agree with the strong presence of the teacher as a mediator of the teachinglearning process, as well as they consider a failure in the participation of the family and in the use of technology in the educational process of the school, pointing possible objects for future studies. The teachers referred to the students as the center of the educational process; however the students have assigned this place to their teachers, having, for their students, great influence in the achieving successful learning. The investigation leads us to create opportunities for teachers in this area the appropriation of the positive elements that have contributed to an effective teaching-learning process, being able to replicate these elements and actions to a larger universe of students.
