O fenómeno religioso em A Cor da Romã : elementos para construção de uma identidade arménia

Resumo
Tomando como linha de pensamento a análise do fenómeno religioso dentro da jornada do povo
arménio, este trabalho visa apontar alguns dos elementos formulados ao longo dos séculos,
instrumentos de construção de identidade e alicerce indissociável da cultura nacional, enquanto
veículos unificadores. Indicar caminhos para efetivação do diálogo inter-religioso faz-se
também presente, no sentido de utilizar exemplos do contexto pertencente ao coletivo arménio,
para observar como os símbolos e identidade integram a ecologia dos povos. A fim de maior
compreensão, será traçada uma linha do tempo histórica, com os acontecimentos geopolíticos
que moldaram a forma de viver da região do sul do Cáucaso, percebendo como a vida no
verdadeiro centro do mundo é marcada pela busca de preservação identitária, à medida que
sobrevive e valoriza a troca, seja por expansão ou pressão. Seguidamente, o estudo se
aprofundará nos mitos originários e lendas nacionais que definem a identidade arménia, ao
passo que se indicarão antigas divindades pré-cristãs, tão presentes até os dias de hoje, tal e
qual os procedimentos de conversão ao cristianismo e o papel da Igreja Apostólica Arménia na
vida cultural e social. Por fim, debruçando na obra de Sergei Paradjanov, A Cor da Romã, serão
analisadas as similaridades entre o diretor e o herói de sua obra, o trovador arménio Sayat Nova, como refletores da vida transcaucasiana e a vivência de antigos ciclos do passado com o
novo, na eternização dos símbolos e seus significados. Serão, portanto, apontados, elementos
específicos presentes no longa-metragem que exemplifiquem detalhes característicos da
identidade religiosa nacional arménia, com o objetivo de conseguir definir a multiplicidade
singular da armenidade.
Admitting as a line of thought the analysis of the religious phenomenon within the journey of the Armenian people, this work aims to point out some of the elements formulated over the centuries, applied as identity building instruments and inseparable foundation of national culture. Indicating paths for the achievement of interreligious dialogue, using examples from the Armenian collective context, it will be important to observe how symbols and identity integrate the ecology between neighbors. A historical timeline will be drawn, with the geopolitical events that shaped the way of life of the South Caucasus region in order to realize how life in the true center of the world is marked by the search for identity preservation, whether by expansion or pressure. Next, the study will provide a closer look into the myths and national legends that define the Armenian identity, as well as ancient pre-Christian deities, present until today, indicating the conversion procedures to Christianity and the role of Armenian Apostolic Church in cultural and social life. Finally, focusing on Sergei Paradjanov's work and the hero of his work, the Armenian troubadour Sayat-Nova, The Color of Pomegranate, will serve as case study to show how life and the experience of old cycles of the past with the realism of the new keep working as eternalization of symbols and their meanings. Details of the Armenian national religious identity will be stressed out, in order to be able to define the unique multiplicity of Armenianness, based on elelements from the feature film.
