dc.description.abstractTendo como base a importância global do turismo e a urgente necessidade de a economia angolana diminuir o seu peso no setor petrolífero, o presente estudo tem o objetivo de analisar as vantagens que o setor turístico traz a economia angolana, expondo os pontos importantes para o desenvolvimento do setor e levar a compreensão de que a economia de Angola poderá resistir a longo prazo sem depender maioritariamente do setor petrolífero. O turismo é a terceira maior categoria mundial em termos de exportação, depois dos químicos e do petróleo. O crescimento do setor tem despertado o interesse de muitos países, em resultado dos benefícios económicos que o setor tem trazido as economias. O dinamismo do setor permitiu uma contribuição de 10,4% do PIB mundial em 2019, o que equivale a 9.2 mil milhões de dólares (WTTC, 2020). O plano criado para reduzir a dependência do setor petrolífero na economia angolana, inclui a implementação de estratégias para alavancar o setor turístico, e a escolha desse setor como estimulador para a economia de Angola é certeira, uma vez que Angola possui diversas potencialidades de recursos naturais e recursos culturais. O turismo doméstico em Angola tem crescido de forma sustentável, tendo uma participação de aproximadamente 70% no setor turístico, mas a sua contribuição para o PIB nacional ainda é bastante reduzida. Com base nas amostras recolhidas, foi possível concluir que existem alguns fatores que podem dificultar o desenvolvimento do setor a curto prazo como o atual estado das estradas, a inflação presente no país e a falta de segurança. dc.description.abstractBased on the global importance of tourism and the urgent need for the Angolan economy to reduce its weight in the oil sector, this study aims to analyze the advantages that the tourism sector brings to the Angolan economy, exposing the important points for the development of the sector and leading to the understanding that the Angolan economy can endure in the long term without depending mainly on the oil sector. Tourism is the third largest export category in the world, after chemicals and oil. The growth of the sector has attracted the interest of many countries, as a result of the economic benefits that the sector has brought to economies. The dynamism of the sector has allowed for a contribution of 10,4% of world GDP in 2019, which is equivalent to $9.2 billion (WTTC, 2020). The plan created to reduce the dependence on the oil sector in the Angolan economy includes the implementation of strategies to leverage the tourism sector, and the choice of this sector as a stimulator for Angola's economy is a sure one, since Angola has several potential natural resources and cultural resources. Domestic tourism in Angola has been growing in a sustainable way, having a participation of approximately 70% in the tourism sector, but its contribution to the national GDP is still quite small. Based on the samples collected, it was possible to conclude that there are some factors that can hinder the development of the sector in the short term such as the current state of the roads, the inflation in the country, and the lack of security. Contrary to this situation there is a great interest of domestic tourists in getting to know the beautiful Angolan landscapes.en
