on-line) e Bem-Estar Subjetivo (BES).
(SWLS), contrariamente, as mulheres demonstram maior Estima/Apoio Emocional online.
promove as relações sociais.
The present study aims to overcome some of the main gaps in the literature about online social support in the context of subjective well-being and more specifically in life satisfaction. The objectives were to achieve the association between social support (in-persone and online) and Subjective Welfare (BES). Considering life satisfaction as a specific indicator, as well as testing the predictive role of the two types of social support, at the level of subjective wellbeing (BES). As a method, we used a socio demographic questionnaire, the Online Social Support (ESSO) scales; Perceived Social Support (MPSSP) and Life Satisfaction Scale (SWLS). A sample of 165 participants, all internet users and over 18 years old. The results showed that men and women are not distinguished in the scales related to social support (in-Person and Online; MSPSS, ESSO) and subjective well-being (SWLS), in contrast, women show higher Estimation / Emotional Support online. There is a statistically positive association between well-being and social support (online / in-Person), as well as lower levels of online informational support and higher levels of online instrumental support predicting higher levels of subjective well-being. It was concluded that social support (in-Person / online) play an important role in the satisfaction with the subject's life, as well as a subjective well-being and promotes social relations.
