The aim of this study was to investigate whether there are different profiles of sexually aggressive women and to test whether there are differences between these profiles in psychopathological symptoms, rape myths, difficulties in emotional regulation and intimacy. The sample was composed of 559 heterosexual university students, of which 31.1% had already resorted, at least once, to resort to sexually aggressive strategies when interacting with men. From this group of participants, two profiles were found: Women who use the three strategies equally; and Women who mostly resort to sexual coercion. No significant differences were found between profiles in psychopathology, rape myths and difficulties in emotional regulation. In terms of intimacy, the profiles were distinguished in Personal Validation and Communication. Specifically, women who mostly resort to sexual coercion feel less validated by their partner and consider that there is less communication between the couple, compared to women who use the three strategies equally. These results stress the need of delivering prevention and intervention programs in colleges, which should focus not only on the heterogeneity of sexually aggressive women, but also on dynamic risk factors, with special emphasis on relational difficulties in intimacy.
