sexo feminino (77.5%) com idades compreendidas entre os 18 e os 65 anos (M = 27.25;
DP = 9.17).
No
online.

The present study proposes to study the moderating role of online social support, in the relationship between loneliness and subjective well-being. The sample of this study consisted of 330 participants, mostly female (77.5%) aged between 18 and 65 years (M = 27.25; SD = 9.17). Data collection was carried out online, using a brief sociodemographic questionnaire; the UCLA Loneliness Scale; the Life Satisfaction Scale; and the Online Social Support Scale. The results obtained revealed that when individuals experience higher levels of loneliness, they tend to have lower levels of subjective well-being. However, they did not confirm the moderating role of social support in the relationship between loneliness and subjective well-being. This study has as implications for practice the fact that it shows the importance of professionals considering the dimensions of positive functioning. Thus, it contributed to considering the dimensions of positive functioning (SWB), as well as a greater understanding of online social support. Keywords: social support; online social support; loneliness; subjective wellbeing
