Relatório de estágio : a influência do professor de educação física na motivação dos alunos para a prática do desporto através da atividade de enriquecimento curricular

Resumo
As práticas desportivas e atividades físicas devem ser vistas como parte integrante do dia-a-dia das crianças e jovens, e não apenas como algo secundário ou dispensável. É importante que haja uma consciencialização sobre a importância dos exercícios físicos para a saúde e bem-estar, e que estas práticas sejam promovidas tanto a nível educativo como familiar. Além disso, a prática desportiva traz inúmeros benefícios para o desenvolvimento físico, social, emocional e cognitivo das crianças e jovens. Promove a disciplina, o trabalho em equipa, a superação de desafios, a autoestima, a liderança e a resiliência, entre muitas outras capacidades essenciais para o seu crescimento e amadurecimento. Assim, é preciso que haja um maior investimento e incentivo por parte das entidades responsáveis, tanto a nível escolar como comunitário, para que as crianças e jovens tenham acesso facilitado a práticas desportivas e atividades físicas de qualidade. É essencial que se promova uma cultura desportiva e se incentive a adoção de um estilo de vida ativo desde tenra idade, para que as futuras gerações possam beneficiar de uma vida mais saudável e equilibrada. Com base nos pressupostos apresentados o presente estudo teve como objetivo o fator motivacional dos alunos para a prática desportiva, quer em contexto escolar (atividades de enriquecimento curricular) quer como atividade extracurricular, identificando as principais influências e impedimentos para a realização ou não realização da prática desportiva extracurricular, procurando saber qual a atividade extracurricular preferida e aferindo a preferência física por género. A amostra do estudo baseou-se na aplicação de dois questionários a alunos do 1º ciclo do Agrupamento de Escolas Nun´Álvares, situado na freguesia da Arrentela, pertencente ao Concelho do Seixal. Os inquéritos foram aplicados em momentos distintos, um foi aplicado no início do ano letivo e outro no final. Deste modo foi possível aferir a importância da intervenção da professora de Atividades Extracurriculares (AEC) durante este período, confrontando o estímulo inicial de cada aluno com o adquirido no final do ano pelos mesmos. A amostra foi constituída pela resposta fornecida por 88 alunos, do 4º ano de escolaridade, com idades compreendidas entre os 9 e 11 anos de idade. Do estudo efetuado as conclusões mais relevantes assentam: " O gosto pelo desporto em ambos o género é semelhante embora o género masculino apresente uma percentagem um pouco mais elevada; " As modalidades identificadas como oferta desportiva são diversificadas; " No início do ano letivo apenas 40,91% praticavam Atividade Física Extracurricular e no final do ano letivo já praticavam 53,41%; " As crianças do género masculino praticam mais vezes por semana atividades extracurriculares do que as do género feminino; " As razões para a prática de atividade desportiva extracurricular estão diretamente ligadas com a importância da Atividade Física na saúde e ao gosto de competir; " Dos inquiridos cerca de 70% das crianças praticam atividade desportiva extracurricular preferida e 30% não praticam; " No desporto desejado por género constata-se que os rapazes são fervorosos adeptos da modalidade Futebol e Natação e as raparigas manifestam preferência pelo Voleibol e pela Dança; " As razões para a não prática da atividade desportiva extracurricular encontram-se diretamente relacionadas ou dependentes da decisão dos encarregados de educação. Sports and physical activities must be seen as an integral part of the daily lives of children and young people, and not just as something secondary or dispensable. It is important that there is awareness about the importance of physical exercise for health and well-being, and that these practices are promoted at both educational and family levels. Furthermore, practicing sports brings numerous benefits to the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of children and young people. It promotes discipline, teamwork, overcoming challenges, self-esteem, leadership and resilience, among many other skills essential for growth and maturity. Therefore, there needs to be greater investment and encouragement on the part of responsible entities, both at school and community level, so that children and young people have easier access to quality sports and physical activities. It is essential to promote a sporting culture and encourage the adoption of an active lifestyle from a young age, so that future generations can benefit from a healthier and more balanced life. Based on the assumptions presented, the present study aimed to identify the motivational factor of students to practice sports, whether in a school context (curricular enrichment activities) or as an extracurricular activity, identifying the main influences and impediments to carrying out or not carrying out the practice. extracurricular sports, trying to find out which extracurricular activity is preferred and assessing physical preference by gender. The study sample was based on the application of two questionnaires to students in the 1st cycle of the Nun´Álvares School Group, located in the parish of Arrentela, belonging to the Municipality of Seixal. The surveys were administered at different times, one was administered at the beginning of the school year and another at the end. In this way, it was possible to assess the importance of the intervention of the Extracurricular Activities teacher (AEC) during this period, comparing the initial stimulus of each student with that acquired at the end of the year by them. The sample consisted of the answers provided by 88 students, in the 4th year of schooling, aged between 9 and 11 years old. From the study carried out, the most relevant conclusions are: • The taste for sport in both genders is similar, although the male gender has a slightly higher percentage; • The modalities identified as sporting offerings are diverse; • At the beginning of the school year, only 40.91% practiced Extracurricular Physical Activity and at the end of the school year, 53.41% already practiced it; • Male children practice extracurricular activities more times per week than female children; • The reasons for practicing extracurricular sporting activities are directly linked to the importance of Physical Activity for health and the enjoyment of competing; • Of those surveyed, around 70% of children practice their favorite extracurricular sporting activity and 30% do not practice it; • In the sport desired by gender, it is clear that boys are ardent fans of Football and Swimming and girls express a preference for Volleyball and Dance; • The reasons for not practicing extracurricular sporting activities are directly related to or dependent on the decision of those in charge of education.
